Wadandi Custodians
Meelup Regional Park is on Wadandi boodja (land) and the Wadandi people maintain an unbroken connection to the Park. The City and the Committee are working towards increasing Wadandi involvement in Park management.
The Committee
The Meelup Regional Park Management Committee (Committee) works in partnership with the Council and City Officers to assist in the management of the Park.
The Committee was established in 1993 and all committee members are volunteers who meet on a regular basis.
The Committee is responsible providing advice and recommendations to the City Officers and the Council with regards to membership, strategic direction, statutory and non-statutory plans and the encouragement, coordination and facilitation of volunteer involvement. The Committee also builds and maintains productive working relationships between the Council, City officers, volunteers and users of the Park and other stakeholders to assist in the management of the Park.
